RSRC Updates
Back to RSRC Home
JAN '02
Okay, sorry about the "really long time, no update". I've been spending time on my anime fansite: CardCaptor Sakura vs. Cardcaptors. Anyway, covers and synopses are now online for Issues #15 and #16, and there are Previews for #17 and #18.
JMS has been busy with his Rangers TV show for the Sci-Fi Channel, and something called "Jerimiah" for Showtime. Not sure when the TPB#2 or the next RS issue is coming out, but I'd rather wait and read something JMS took the time to write the way he wanted, than something shoved out the door to meet an artificial timeline.
Thanks for the emails and images, and for your continued visits, as the RSRC enters our 3rd year online. Happy New Year!

I am fortunate enough not to have family or friends directly hurt in the
attack on the United States yesterday morning. Best wishes to all of
you and yours in this tragic time, and sincere thanks to all of the men
and women participating in the rescue and recovery efforts.
If you can, please give blood - it will be greatly needed in the days to
come.

for arrival in August - it will covers Issues #9-16. And, for those of you with excess
cash, or a burning collector's spirit, you can order a leather bound volume of the first

Issue #14 is now online. The RSRC is also mentioned in the Rising Stars Letters (thanks Renae!).
And, for those of you who don't have a copy of RS#1/2, it is
being re-issues with (gasp!) a new cover. You can preorder it from your comic store today,
and it should show up in the July shipment. There is a full page ad for it in Previews Magazine,
on page 137.
FEBRUARY '01
Issue #13 is now online, as well as some more Specials, Officials, and Parents.
Many thanks to everyone who visits and continues to visit -
the RSRC get an average of over 100 hits a week!
Please also check out Straczynski's Spider-Man,
a new JMS Comics fan website dedicated to the Great Maker's latest adventures in comics.
JANUARY '01
Happy New Year! Okay, so it's almost February - the update/redesign took a little longer
than anticipated. We've got more content, more covers,
a more flexible navigation, and (hopefully) more frequent updates.
Here's to a whole new year of Rising Stars!
DECEMBER '00
In an effort to make updates a little easier to manage ( and hopefully
more frequent ^_^), the RSRC is going to have a facelift this month. All
updates are on hold until Jan 2001, but be sure and pick up Issue 11
to meet a Special
from the good old days. Also, the just released Rising Stars Deluxe
Trade Paperback "Born in Fire", a collection of the first 8 issues,
would make a great Christmas present to those who haven't been
collecting the individual comics, and need to catch up on the story so
far.
NOVEMBER '00
Thanks to a letter in Issue #2 of Midnight Nation, JMS Comics and the Rising Stars Resource Center have seen an average of over 110 visitors a week!
Issues 7 and 8 are now online.
SEPTEMBER '00
The Rising Stars
Resource Center has moved to its new home at jmscomics.com,
where it joins the company of the Midnight Nation
Station, a fansite about the brand new twelve
issue story also from J. Michael Straczynski.
JULY '00
Please welcome Slappy and Eleanor Hamilton to the RSRC. We also updated
the synopses and added some new images. Issue #9 is out, and looks like
it has 3 different covers - so far we've only picked up one, but we're
looking out for the others. More updates as soon as Real Life
allows.
MAY '00
We've added not only Issue 5, but also the special black & white
Preview Issue which was originally released as a Convention Exclusive,
but which as now become available via special order at comic stores.
We've also added some needed character pages, as the cast of
supporting characters and non-specials begins to grow.
Rising Stars is currently in the middle of a three-issue arc which
began in Issue 6. We will be releasing updates for the entire arc
after it is completed in the pending Issue 8, which is due any week.
This will include some new characters and some interesting character
developments. Issues 6 & 7 were dynamite, and we can't wait to see
how this arc closes. Stay tuned!
MAR. '00
Okay, so we didn't get Issue 5 up yet. It's coming, we promise. In
the meantime, we continued to tweak the functionality of the framesets
and added some cool scans from each issue to the Images pages. Now
we'll get back to work on #5. Check back soon ...
FEB. '00
Time for some serious catching up! On Friday, Feb. 18th, we posted
many changes and many many additions we were working on. This
included character dossiers and images through Issue #4, some
corrections to existing information, as well as expanded excerpts from
Poet's Journal and other things which we've not had the time to put up
until now.
Since then, we have further updated some of the Notes, Journal and
Credits pages, and will continue doing so as we can get to them. We
have also begun work on material covering Issue #5, and plan to
post it sometime the first weekend in March.
DEC. 15 '99
Just got our hands on Issue #3 "Whatever Happened to Lee Jackson?" and
will have it online soon.
Babylon 5 fans - does that title sound familiar? ^_^

OCT. '99
Kestrel Concepts and Entzminger Information Architecture have teamed up to
create what we hope will come to be one of the most complete and enjoyable
Rising Stars resources on the World Wide Web!
It is our hope that this site will become for the fans of Rising Stars

to see our progress...
